After an extensive search of my room yesterday, I finally found my provisional driving licence hiding under all my old University folders. Typical really - even though I finished my course at the University of Central England in Birmingham five months ago, the place still manages to piss me off even now!

The Caps beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 last night to bag their second straight win - it was a close one though, after leading for most of the game, they conceded a goal in the third and had to win it in overtime! It's a home game on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers next.

There have been some changes to protect the 13 key Internet servers from the attack I mentioned a week or so ago. One of the two machines operated by Verisign has been moved to a different part of their network to protect against future attacks - click the link above and read the article.

It took 10,000 machines and 549 days to break the code Certicom uses to protect its digital information. Why on earth a company would offer $10,000 for someone to break their code is beyond me - it's now virtually useless (even if it does take a year and a half to crack it).

The space age U.S. Military continues to fascinate me - the Army used a high-energy laser to shoot down an artillery shell in mid-flight on Tuesday! How cool is that? The practical uses of such a device makes it extremely valuable and an excellent defensive tool for any nation to have.

Finally for today, I am in the middle of converting the badly neglected Mariah Carey section of this site to this all-new look - it should all be done by December, if not sooner. I shall also upload my resume and a page of information all about me shortly. That's all for today...
