It's time for me to have an angry outburst...

Whatever you do, make sure you don't ever download iMesh, one of the many peer-to-peer file sharing programs freely available on the web. I say this because yesterday, I thought I'd install it and give it a whirl - I soon regretted it (and then promptly uninstalled it). Allow me to explain...

iMesh claims that it is spyware free, so how do they explain the fact that upon installing the program, an executable file hidden in the Windows system directory, loads itself into memory, and then silently uses your Internet connection to connect to a server somewhere in the world?

To be frank, iMesh is the biggest pile of adware/spyware-infested shite I've ever had the displeasure of coming across (it's also a useless peer-to-peer file sharing program, too). It is full of browser hijackers and adware/spyware from companies such as Cydoor, Gator, EzuLa, and FlashTrack.

I thank my lucky stars that I have on my machine the excellent Norton Internet Security, which blocked the sneaky executable from connecting to the web, and the equally excellent Ad-Aware, which promptly detected and removed all the nasty stuff iMesh had installed.

There we go, that's my angry outburst all finished...
