Staying with CNN's excellent Offbeat news section, my favourite story of the week has to be this one - simply reading the opening paragraph is enough to make me giggle uncontrollably. The story is a few days old, but I simply had to tell you about it now, because it totally slipped my mind yesterday.
The Caps beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 yesterday! The win was the Caps' first ever in Phoenix, and their first in three games on the their current five game road trip. Tonight sees the Caps face their old coach, Ron Wilson, as they visit the home of the San Jose Sharks. I'm hoping it'll be a good win for the Caps.
Over this side of the pond, Aston Villa beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1, courtesy of a late injury time goal from young Villa midfielder, Tomas Hitzlsperger. The win takes Villa up to fourteenth in the table, and above city rivals Birmingham, which is always a welcome sight to see.
