After a hard day at work, that started at 6am and finished at 3pm, I stayed up to listen in on the Caps game last night - I shouldn't have bothered - they were beaten 5-1 by the defending Stanley Cup champions at MCI Center. The Caps could drop to second in the southeast division if Tampa win today.
Back over this side of the pond, my beloved Aston Villa still can't seem to build up any decent away form (no goals in 13 out of 28 league games). They were beaten by Charlton 3-0 in a game where Villa rarely threatened to score. Still, at least we're above archrivals Birmingham in the league!
