Well, I did say that a miracle was required for Villa to reach the final of the Carling Cup after the disastrous defeat in the first leg. Sadly, despite beating Bolton 2-0 last night, Villa lost the semi-final 5-4 on aggregate. Of course, it didn't help having a man sent off in the first half, and top scorer Angel out injured.
