When it snows in countries like Canada, for example, it really snows. Yet the Canadian folks go about their daily lives as if the snow isn't really there at all. So why is it then, that when we in England get just a tiny bit of snow, it causes total chaos everywhere, and the entire country grinds to a standstill?

The Caps shutdown ex-player, Jaromir Jagr, and the Rangers in a 2-1 victory last night. The Carolina Hurricanes are up next tonight in what I see as a must win game. The Caps, currently stuck in the Southeast Division basement, can close the gap between themselves and Carolina to six points with a win tonight.

Aston Villa signed Nolberto Solano in a �1.5 million move from Newcastle today. Earlier this morning, it was reported that Villa boss, David O'Leary, has been told by Deadly Doug that he has just �4 million to rebuild the squad in the summer. I wonder if today's �1.5 million outlay will be deducted from that or not?

I watched sci-fi thriller The Thirteenth Floor last night. Despite its similarity to a certain other movie, I actually quite enjoyed it, but I'm going to have to either rent it or buy it on DVD, because the plot twisted that many times I absolutely lost it about half way through - which made the ending even more confusing!
