It's my 23rd birthday next Tuesday, so you still have plenty of time to buy me a gift if you haven't already done so! Stuck for ideas? Well, you could send me some money via PayPal, or you could buy me something off my Amazon Wish List. I can't believe it's July 1st tomorrow - the last six months have flown by!
The recent security vulnerability discovered in Internet Explorer pretty much underlines why I finally decided to dump it. The excellent and (most importantly) secure Mozilla Firefox is a great alternative. I know I keep linking to it and going on about how great it is, but all the praise I heap on Firefox is fully deserved.
My favourite MLS team, D.C. United, tied 1-1 with the Dallas Burn on Saturday night. They fell behind to Jason Kreis' 89th career goal (a goal which made him the MLS all-time leading goal scorer), but another goal from Alecko Eskandarian earned them a point. United face their arch rivals the MetroStars this Saturday.
The 2004 NHL Entry Draft finished on Sunday, and as expected, the Caps made Alexander Ovechkin the first overall pick. They also used their many other picks to stock up on young talent for the future. Hopefully, with Ovechkin as the foundation, some of those drafted players will mold into a Stanley Cup winning team!
