I got an excellent Christmas present this week. I'll be starting a new role at work as Junior Test Analyst in the New Year! It's more money and definitely a step in the right direction. I'm really pleased, especially as I didn't get on the
Graduate Scheme (despite traveling down to Woking having made the final stages).
I hate to say it but
Villa were totally outclassed in their
2-0 loss at home to Manchester United last Saturday afternoon. I couldn't understand the logic of playing a 4-5-1 at home, though, unless it was for defensive reasons, and even if it was it didn't work. Up next for Villa: Everton on Boxing Day. It's totally a must win game.
Over the other side of the pond the
Caps and top player Alexander Ovechkin had a good night last night, beating Atlanta in a shootout to win
6-5. That ended a winless streak, having lost their previous two games
3-2 to the Florida Panthers, and
4-1 to the San Jose Sharks. The Caps face the Canadiens later tonight.
