With a
6-4 victory over Atlanta (which stopped the Thrashers reaching the playoffs for the first time in their history), and a
4-1 victory over Tampa Bay, the
Caps ended their season in fine style. They accumulated a total of 70 points, which was good enough for 27th place in the league. The playoffs begin tomorrow!
Meanwhile over this side of the pond,
Villa failed to build on that most excellent
3-1 spanking of They Who Must Not Be Named over the Easter weekend, losing
3-2 away to Wigan on Tuesday night. Villa still aren't mathematically safe from relegation, so I'm hoping a victory over Man City next Tuesday will put an end to that worry.
