Villa signed Stewart Downing for £12 million on a four-year deal from Middlesbrough
earlier today. I was beginning to think that Villa weren't going to sign anyone the way things were going! Downing is recovering from an injury at the moment, but I think he will turn out to be a very good signing once he's fully fit again.
