The Caps were destroyed by the Ottawa Senators last night. They lost 6-2 and made their coach Bruce Cassidy a very unhappy man! The Caps are away to bottom of the division Atlanta on Sunday afternoon, and for once, I'll be able to listen in as it's a 3pm face off (8pm GMT).

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American visitors!

Well, that's the last time I ever work ten hours solid with only thirty minutes break for this place again. You'd think that after increasing sales by a thousand pounds each week, for the past two weeks running, the miserable bastards would at least show a tiny bit of appreciation wouldn't you?

At least the Caps won last night. They beat the Calgary Flames 4-2 at MCI Center. They face the Ottawa Senators tomorrow night, their third Canadian opponents in as many games. It should be a good game - Ottawa are second in the northeast division and are playing some good hockey at the moment.

That's all for today...

I'm not normally bothered about spiders, whatever their size, shape or colour. But if I bought some grapes from Tesco and found a spider in them - like the one mentioned in this this article - I'd run a mile! I wonder if where I work has those sort of spiders in their grapes? I wouldn't put it passed them...

Terrible penalty killing last night cost the Caps dearly. They were beaten 5-4 by the Toronto Maple Leafs. They're up against the Calgary Flames for the traditional Thanksgiving Eve home game tonight. The Flames also lost last night - they were hammered 7-2 by the Boston Bruins!

Sad as it may seem, I simply can't imagine life without the Internet. So if the things described in this article came true, I'd be suicidal! Keeping with the computing theme of this paragraph, this article is a graphic illustration of what happens when you take part in software piracy and get caught.

Finally for today, with it being Thanksgiving Eve in the USA, here's a quite fitting article, courtesy of CNN's excellent Offbeat news section. I try to visit CNN's Offbeat section as often as possible, I suggest you do the same; it's always full of humorous articles like the one I've linked today!

If you've sent me an e-mail in the past week and I haven't replied yet, please be patient - I shall reply as soon as I can - I'm a little busy at the moment! Working silly hours at this place doesn't help much either. It's another horrible 6am start tomorrow morning...

The Caps make a trip up north tonight to face the Toronto Maple Leafs who are on a bit of a hot streak at the moment (they've won four of their last six games). After thumping the Atlanta Thrashers 6-3 at home, the Caps will really want to keep the winning momentum going. Go Caps!

It's time for the weekend sports round up... and what a great weekend it was for my teams! The Caps hammered the Thrashers 6-3 at home, while over this side of the pond, Villa slaughtered West Ham 4-1, also at home! Could this be the turning point in the season for both clubs? I do hope so.

It's time for me to have an angry outburst...

Whatever you do, make sure you don't ever download iMesh, one of the many peer-to-peer file sharing programs freely available on the web. I say this because yesterday, I thought I'd install it and give it a whirl - I soon regretted it (and then promptly uninstalled it). Allow me to explain...

iMesh claims that it is spyware free, so how do they explain the fact that upon installing the program, an executable file hidden in the Windows system directory, loads itself into memory, and then silently uses your Internet connection to connect to a server somewhere in the world?

To be frank, iMesh is the biggest pile of adware/spyware-infested shite I've ever had the displeasure of coming across (it's also a useless peer-to-peer file sharing program, too). It is full of browser hijackers and adware/spyware from companies such as Cydoor, Gator, EzuLa, and FlashTrack.

I thank my lucky stars that I have on my machine the excellent Norton Internet Security, which blocked the sneaky executable from connecting to the web, and the equally excellent Ad-Aware, which promptly detected and removed all the nasty stuff iMesh had installed.

There we go, that's my angry outburst all finished...

Yesterday, I received a text message and then an e-mail from my good friend Vishal, asking me to give a special mention to someone. So, without further delay, I would like to give a special mention to the lovely Kathryn, whom I am told is better looking than Beatu. Thanks for reading Kathryn!

Right, now to other things. Yes, you guessed it, this is yet another post about the excellent game that is Ice Hockey. And yes, you guessed right again, the Caps got beaten last night - again! The final score was 4-3, and they're now winless in five games. Atlanta, who are bottom of the division, are up next.

This horrible place paid me double what I should have earned this week. Now you might think that's a good thing, but it's not because since I'm such an honest guy, I told them about it - and now they're taking it all back next week! I'm too nice for my own good, you know.

Finally, since I'm on the subject of this horrible place, I must stress that all these 6am starts are killing me. When my alarm clock goes off in the morning, it's at that time I really start to regret my decision not to do a Masters degree! That's it for today; I'm off to catch up on some sleep...

Yesterday afternoon Riten and myself went to see the latest James Bond movie, Die Another Day. At last the waiting was finally over. Well, I can happily say that it was worth the wait - the movie was excellent! So, if you haven't seen it already, stop reading this and get down to your local cinema right away!

The Caps continued their losing at home thing with a 3-2 defeat against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night. They're at home to Minnesota Wild tonight, and it's a chance for them to avenge a 1-0 away defeat against the Wild last week. It's work again tomorrow at 6am, so I'll miss the game - I hate my job.

I'm in work at 6am tomorrow morning, so there's no chance of me listening to the Caps game against San Jose Sharks tonight. They really need a win tonight as they're four points behind Carolina, who are second in the southeast division, and seven points behind Tampa Bay, who are top!

As soon as I finish work at 12pm tomorrow afternoon, I'm off to see the latest James Bond movie, Die Another Day, with my good friend Riten. Vishal might come to see it with us too if he can make it. Speaking of Vishal, he e-mailed me this superb article today - I think it's hilarious!

It wasn't exactly a good weekend for the teams I support. On this side of the pond, Villa missed a penalty and drew 0-0 against West Bromwich Albion. On the other side of the pond, the Caps drew with Chicago 2-2, and lost to Minnesota 1-0. Not exactly wonderful results I'm sure you'll agree.

At this moment in time, I'm busy compiling this months much anticipated Anti-Spam Protection File. I'm also busy putting together my CV to send off to potential employers. I'll have my CV available for viewing (or downloading) on this site either Monday or definitely Tuesday.

I simply hate working at this place - I simply must get out of there as fast as I can. Can you tell why on earth I'm still working at that place when I have a good degree in Computing? I can't either. Words simply cannot describe accurately enough how much I hate my current job.

The Caps go to Chicago tonight. I hope they can get back to winning ways again after their 6-1 home defeat against Dallas! Since the game is on far too late, and since I have to go to work early tomorrow morning (another reason why I hate my current job), I unfortunately won't be listening in.

I hope this loosing at home by very large scores thing doesn't continue for the Caps - they were beaten 6-1 by the Dallas Stars last night! Two away games at Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild are next up for the Caps before a home game at the MCI Center against San Jose Sharks.

I neglected to mention in my last post on Sunday that I went to see 28 Days Later at the cinema on Saturday night. I probably neglected to mention it because I didn't think the movie was all that good. It wasn't a bad movie, but there were far too many plot holes (and far too much blood), to make it enjoyable.

Staying on the subject of movies, the trailer for the next Lord of The Rings movie looks excellent (and I haven't even seen the first one yet!). However, what I am really looking forward to seeing is Die Another Day, the latest James Bond movie - it hits UK cinemas next week!

It was a great day yesterday for the teams I support. On this side of the pond, Villa beat Fulham at home 3-1 and, over in the U.S., the Caps smashed the Flyers 4-1 at home with an excellent performance that earned them their first win over the Flyers since January 28, 2001.

There's an excellent article all about spam in Time magazine online. You should click here and read it right away. Meanwhile, on the BBC news website, this article about battling the net security threat, concerns me a lot. Attack activity growing by 64% each year? Yikes!

After an extensive search of my room yesterday, I finally found my provisional driving licence hiding under all my old University folders. Typical really - even though I finished my course at the University of Central England in Birmingham five months ago, the place still manages to piss me off even now!

The Caps beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 last night to bag their second straight win - it was a close one though, after leading for most of the game, they conceded a goal in the third and had to win it in overtime! It's a home game on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers next.

There have been some changes to protect the 13 key Internet servers from the attack I mentioned a week or so ago. One of the two machines operated by Verisign has been moved to a different part of their network to protect against future attacks - click the link above and read the article.

It took 10,000 machines and 549 days to break the code Certicom uses to protect its digital information. Why on earth a company would offer $10,000 for someone to break their code is beyond me - it's now virtually useless (even if it does take a year and a half to crack it).

The space age U.S. Military continues to fascinate me - the Army used a high-energy laser to shoot down an artillery shell in mid-flight on Tuesday! How cool is that? The practical uses of such a device makes it extremely valuable and an excellent defensive tool for any nation to have.

Finally for today, I am in the middle of converting the badly neglected Mariah Carey section of this site to this all-new look - it should all be done by December, if not sooner. I shall also upload my resume and a page of information all about me shortly. That's all for today...

Well, it was a close game, but they got the win they needed to take them back to the .500 mark. Last night, the Caps beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3, with a goal in the last seconds of overtime (the last three seconds in fact). A home game on Thursday against the Florida Panthers is next...

There's just no consistency with the Caps at the moment - they were beaten 2-1 by the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night. The Caps are away to the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Arena on Tuesday night. I'm hoping for a win for the Caps, but it'll be a tough game.

Back across the pond here in England, Aston Villa seem to have turned the corner. Two away draws (1-1 and 0-0) with Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers were superb results - now all they need to do is to start scoring and winning games on a more regular basis so they climb up the table!

When I saw him live at Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza, back in July this year (an unforgettable experience), I thought he was number one. Now, it has been confirmed - congratulations to the awesome DJ Tiësto on becoming the best DJ in the world! I'm so pleased for him - he really does deserve it.

Finally for today, my good friend Vishal has pointed me towards this excellent article on CNN. In fact, once you have read that article, have a read of the entire Offbeat news section on CNN - it's packed full of hilarious (but true) articles. Don't miss this article about the skydiving dog!

At a cost of two billion dollars per plane, the B-2 Stealth Bomber is an expensive, but awesome aircraft. There's an article on the BBC website all about this expensive super bomber, and it's absolutely fascinating, so I suggest you click this link and read all about it right now!

The Caps got their revenge last night for an earlier defeat by top of the division Tampa Bay Lightning - they beat them 3-2, with a power play goal just minutes from the end of the game - it's about time you converted a power play guys! The Caps play the Philadelphia Flyers tonight...

Wow! It's November already. This time last year I was busy doing research for my final year project. My good friend Riten is about a month or so into his final year project at the moment - I wish him well with it! Speaking of Riten, he sent me this in an e-mail a few days back - I'm still laughing now!
