After being hammered 4-2 by Los Angeles Galaxy (in a game where Freddy Adu scored a wonderful goal), and losing 2-1 to the Colorado Rapids last week, my favourite MLS team, D.C. United, beat New England Revolution 1-0 yesterday, thanks in part to an own goal in the first half. D.C. play Chicago Fire next Saturday.

I recently purchased DJ Tiësto's new album, Just Be. In my opinion, it's not quite as good as his first album, In My Memory, but it's still an excellent album. The best track on the album by far is Sweet Misery. Forever Today and Tiësto's own remix of Barber's Adagio For Strings come a close second and third.

Woohoo! Yes, I'm back online again, and this time I'm on a high-speed 750kb broadband connection! I am never going back to 56k dial-up again. Never. This is just too good. The only downside is I have 418 e-mails to sift through. Still, they won't take too long to download, will they? But first, I'm off to play Counter-Strike...

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that this will be my last post for about four days as I'll be without Internet access until Monday. I'm not sure how I'm going to cope - it's a good job I've got those books Vishal gave me to read! On Monday I shall be having Broadband installed. Yes! High-speed Internet access at last!

It's the big day tomorrow - I'm moving house. I'll be sad to leave, but as I read in a Harlan Coben novel once, a house is just bricks and mortar. Nothing more. And I'll be taking away a lot of happy memories from this house. I've still got a little bit of packing to do as I write this, so I'm going to go and get that done now.

Ah, so it wasn't to be. Villa lost 2-0 at home to Manchester United, and with Newcastle getting a draw against Liverpool, they sneaked ahead of Villa in to 5th, meaning they qualified for the UEFA Cup instead. Still, after last season, 6th position is a huge improvement for Villa - fans and players alike should be proud.

Meanwhile, across the pond my favourite MLS team, D.C. United, beat the Kansas City Wizards 1-0 at home. They're now 3rd in the Eastern Conference, behind the MetroStars and Chicago. D.C. United face the hottest team in the Western Conference - Los Angeles Galaxy - this Saturday in what will be a difficult game.

Yes, I know there haven't been any updates for the past few days, but that's because I've been busy packing as I'm moving house on Friday. I never knew I had so much stuff - it appears as though I have more things in my room than every room in the house combined! Thankfully, I haven't got much more to pack...

The editor of that vile anti-American newspaper, the Daily Mirror, which by publishing fake photos of British troops abusing Iraqi prisoners, put the lives of British troops in danger and caused great damage to the reputation of the British Armed Forces, has been sacked. Good. Best news I've heard all week!

As they only managed a 1-1 draw with Southampton over the weekend, Villa won't be in the Champions League next season. However, a win at home against Manchester United tomorrow (the last game of the season), or Newcastle losing to Liverpool, will guarantee a UEFA Cup spot and a fifth place finish. Go Villa!

Meanwhile, across the pond D.C. United only managed a 1-1 draw with the struggling Columbus Crew last Saturday - an unfortunate last minute penalty denying them maximum points. D.C. are at home to the Kansas City Wizards tomorrow. The Wizards are on fire at the moment, so a win would be great.

I pre-ordered the Millennium Season 1 DVD Box Set yesterday after Amazon finally got around to listing it. Millennium is one of my favourite TV shows ever, and I'm really glad it's finally getting a DVD release. The first season in particular is excellent, and in my opinion, the best of the three. There are 59 days remaining...

You know, if they're not careful, Amazon are going to lose a lot of business to Play, particularly from me. Admittedly, Play are only marginally cheaper than Amazon, but the price Play quote is the price delivered, whereas with Amazon they'll ship your order free providing it's over £25. Be careful, Amazon, be very careful...

I finished reading Fade Away by Harlan Coben and The Concrete Blonde by Michael Connelly a week or so ago. For Coben, Fade Away is his best Myron Bolitar novel so far. For Connelly, The Concrete Blonde is better than his first two novels put together! Needless to say, I highly recommend both novels.

Has it really been that long since I last updated? Well, without further a do I must tell you about the extra 256MB of memory I bought from Crucial the other day. It really has made a massive difference. Both Crucial's price and delivery time were impressive too, and I highly recommend them for all your memory needs.

Remember back in October 2003 when I tipped Colorado Avalanche to win the Stanley Cup? Well, the San Jose Sharks knocked them out on Tuesday night, so there goes that prediction! Of the remaining teams (Calgary, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, San Jose) anyone of them could lift the Stanley Cup.

My favourite MLS team, D.C. United, drew 1-1 in San Jose against the Earthquakes on Saturday, while over this side of the pond, another goal from that man Angel secured a 1-0 win for Villa at home to Tottenham. Villa face Southampton away this Saturday, and D.C. United are at home to the Columbus Crew.
