Despite being the first team to score against them this season, Villa lost 2-1 to Chelsea yesterday. The Saturday before that Villa drew 1-1 with Tottenham, but really should have won. During midweek Villa thrashed Wycombe 8-3 in the Cup after trailing 3-1 at half-time. Villa play Middlesbrough next week.

Over the other side of the pond D.C. United have moved back to second in the East with a string of decent results. A 5-1 win against Real Salt Lake, a 2-1 win against FC Dallas and a 2-0 win against Colorado. The only blip in that string of results was a 1-0 loss away to Colorado. No game for United this weekend.

Oh, by the way, I'm happy to report that my PC overheating problems are solved! The TAC compliant Antec TX635 has really made a difference. The cooling is far superior to my old case, and I'm able to play games such as Counter-strike: Source and Half-Life 2 with no problems whatsoever now. Very happy indeed.

Oops. I haven't posted for a whole week! I'm not too sure why, either. Hmm. Not much to write about? Too tired after a hard day's work? Playing too much Counter-strike? Yes, that's it. Playing too much Counter-strike. Anyway, I shall do a big post sometime tomorrow I think. Right, time for more Counter-strike...

I'm rebuilding my aunts PC first thing tomorrow morning. Right now it's currently a playground for all sorts of scum like adware, spyware, viruses etc. It's so badly infested that only a complete rebuild will cure it! I'm also putting in some extra RAM. By the time I'm finished with it I guarentee it will be like a new machine again!

Once I've finished with my aunts machine I'll start work on my troublesome machine. I've got to move it into its new case and replace the noisy fan on the motherboard. Hopefully, when it's all finished, I will have a cooler and quieter system! Oh, and I want the new Zalman CNPS9500-LED - looks very impressive indeed.

Villa are at home to Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow evening. Sadly, I'm unable to attend the game, but I'll be watching it live on the TV. Besides, after the shambles that was the 4-0 defeat at West Ham on Monday night, I don't really feel like parting with my money. They'd better play better than they did on Monday night!

If you were unable to access my site last night it was because of a serious power blackout in the Los Angeles area, which took my hosts entire network offline for several hours. There might still be problems now due to their core router having issues (most likely related to the power outage). Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I will finally find out the truth about Mulder's sister, Samantha, when I watch the X-Files episodes Sein Und Zeit and Closure tonight. I must be the only X-Files fan around that doesn't know! After those episodes I still have the rest of Season 7 and Season's 8 and 9 to watch. I might do it by the end of the year...

After much deliberation and scouring many, many websites, I have finally purchased a new case that should hopefully put an end to my heat problems: the Antec TX635. It's TAC compliant, has a good cooling system, a good PSU, all the features I need, and is a touch bigger than my Q-Tec case. It'll arrive sometime next week.

Okay. The way I see it, I have three options so solve my PC heat problem: a) live with it; b) buy a 3Ghz Northwood CPU (that is, if I can find one); c) purchase a TAC (Thermally Enhanced Chassis) compliant case. Option A is a non-starter, B and C will cost me money. I think option C is the way to go, though.

I must admit, my current case isn't exactly spacious, the airflow is pretty much non-existent as far as I can tell, and I am convinced that it is the failure to get rid of the warm air from around the CPU that is causing the overheating. Hopefully, if I can find a decent enough case, all my heat problems will be solved.

I am at my wits end with this PC of mine! It just runs too hot, and when it hits a certain temperature, my hardware monitoring software beeps like crazy at me. I have the side of my case off and it still runs too hot! Could someone remind me why I bought a 3Ghz Intel Pentium 4 Prescott CPU again, please? Arrrrgggghhhh!
