I have finally finished fixing all the bad HTML code in my blog entries - all 727 of them! Now every page validates correctly as valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Although it was quite tedious at times, I actually quite enjoyed reading back through over four years of entries, and one of my favourites just has to be
this one.

The
Caps beat Florida
4-1 last Monday evening, and followed that up with a
3-2 (SO) loss to Boston, a
4-1 loss to Carolina, another
3-2 (OT) loss to Boston and a
4-2 loss to Atlanta last night, which was bad tempered affair to say the least - 176 penalty minutes in total, 144 of those coming in the final
minute of play!

Villa drew
0-0 with Wigan on Sunday. That earned them a point and kept them up in fifth position in the Premiership. With just one defeat in the league so far, things are looking good. Villa's next two games are against Middlesbrough and Man City, and they're both at Villa Park where Villa are unbeaten so far this season.

I went to see the new Bond film,
Casino Royale, at the
Electric Cinema on Thursday evening with my good friend Riten. Personally, I'm still undecided about it, so I think I'll need to see the film again before I give my final verdict. It felt more like a thriller/action movie than a Bond movie, but that's just my opinion.

I'm going to see the new James Bond film,
Casino Royale, at the
Electric Cinema on Thursday evening. I'm really looking forward to it. This
review, which says the new film is "a return to the spirit of the Fleming novels", makes it sound very promising indeed. I read the novel just
over a year ago and really, really enjoyed it.

After their
4-0 Carling Cup drubbing at Chelsea in midweek, it was very pleasing indeed to see
Villa bounce back in style by beating Everton
1-0 yesterday. I wasn't very impressed with Goodison Park, though. It must be one of the worst stadiums in the Premiership! Villa's next game is away at Wigan next Sunday.
Since I last wrote about them, the
Caps have beat the Calgary Flames
4-2, lost
4-3 to the Atlanta Thrashers, beat the Philadelphia Flyers
5-3, beat the Ottawa Senators
4-3 (OT), got hammered
5-0 by the Carolina Hurricanes and, last night, beat the Rangers
3-1. Phew! The Caps play the Panthers tomorrow night.

Villa got back to winning ways against Blackburn on Sunday. They won
2-0 and fully deserved the three points. Their next game is away at Chelsea in the Carling Cup tomorrow night. After that Villa then play Everton away in the league on Saturday afternoon - and I'll be travelling up the M6 to Goodison myself to support them!
Over the other side of the pond my favourite MLS team,
D.C. United, drew
1-1 with the New York Red Bulls in Game 2 of their Conference Semifinal to advance 2-1 on aggregate. Sadly, they lost the Conference Championship
1-0 to New England, so the MLS Cup final will be between New England and Houston Dynamo.
