The journey up north on the M6 was well worth it to see
Villa beat Manchester City
2-0 on Saturday afternoon! It was a fantastic day weather-wise to watch football. There's just two more games left for Villa now. They play Sheffield United at Villa Park on Saturday evening, before finishing the season away at Bolton.

Yet another home game, yet another draw!
Villa drew
0-0 at home against Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon. I think the game was even more boring than the Liverpool game a couple of weeks back! Villa travel up the M6 to play Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, and as I have tickets, I shall be travelling up as well.
Over the other side of the pond, the Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks and Vancouver Canucks are all through to the Stanley Cup semifinals, which start tonight. I'm really not sure who's going to win the Stanley Cup this season.

I went to see
The Reaping starring Hilary Swank on Saturday night. I saw the trailer for it last Saturday night, and I thought it looked quite promising. Sadly, it wasn't really my cup of tea. I'm not too sure why, but I found it quite hard to get in to. It's by no means a bad film though, so don't let me put you off seeing it.

What a fantastic win for
Villa on Saturday! They went behind (again), but showed plenty of determination and character by bouncing back to beat Middlesbrough
3-1. Villa's next game is at home against Portsmouth on Sunday. That won't be an easy game, but I'm feeling confident the Villa boys will grab all three points!

I went to see
Perfect Stranger starring Bruce Willis and the lovely Halle Berry on Saturday night. I thought it was a really good film. I totally wasn't expecting it to end the way it did, so either I wasn't paying enough attention, or it was really cleverly done! Go see it for yourself and see if you can figure it all out before it ends.

No update for over a week? Yikes! Since my last update
Villa have picked up a much needed five points with a
1-1 draw against Everton, an excellent
2-1 win away at Blackburn, and a
1-1 draw with Wigan on Monday. They had to come back from a goal down in all three games. Villa travel to Middlesbrough this weekend.
Over the other side of the pond, the regular NHL season has drawn to a close and the playoffs start tonight. The
Caps, of course, didn't make the playoffs. They finished their final three games with a
1-0 win against Florida, a
3-2 win against Atlanta and a
2-0 loss to Buffalo. Hopefully, next season will be a different story.

The
Caps suffered another two losses recently to the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning, the games ending
3-2 (OT) and
5-2 respectively. Three more games to go now. What a disappointing end to the season. At least they won't finish bottom of the Conference. Surprisingly, that will be Philadelphia this year.
Villa haven't had a game this weekend. They play Everton tomorrow evening, which means, annoyingly, I'll have to stay in work and go straight down the game from there. I really, really hate these stupid evening kickoffs! Finally, if you haven't seen it already, check out this years amusing
April Fool from Google.
