Despite
Villa being linked with loads of different players from all over the world they still haven't signed anyone yet. I'm not worried though - I'm just keen to see some top class players arrive at Villa Park! I'm sure Martin O'Neill is just taking his time. There's no need to rush things, and the new season is two months away yet.

I wandered off to the cinema to watch
Vacancy starring the lovely Kate Beckinsale last night. Apart from the most nauseating beginning credits sequence I've ever seen (bright,
spinning words) the film itself was excellent. Scary, plenty of tension and some well placed jumps. Go with a friend or two if you do go to see it!

The fixtures for the 06/07 season were announced today.
Villa start the season at home to Liverpool. The first game against They Who Must Not Be Named is on November 10th, and the second is at Villa Park on April 19th next year. Coincidentally, I also renewed my season ticket today. I can't wait for the new season to begin!

Congratulations to the Anaheim Ducks on winning the 2007 Stanley Cup! They beat the Ottawa Senators
6-2 on Wednesday night to win it in five games. I was hoping the Ducks would win it this year, especially after losing out to the New Jersey Devils a couple of years back, but I didn't expect them to win it so convincingly!

I'm back all tanned and refreshed! I had an absolutely fantastic time. The weather was excellent all week, and it was really nice to get away from it all. Sadly, it's back to work for me tomorrow. Oh, well. I've got around 40-odd pictures to sort through, and I'll put those online at some point during this week when I get a chance.
