I watched
Death Race at the cinema on Friday night and quite enjoyed it. It wasn't very long, and there was no plot of any kind to speak of really, but it had supercharged, weapon-laden cars, lots of explosions and loads of mindless action. It also featured the rather sizzling Natalie Martinez. What more could a guy ask for?

Villa are third in the Premiership after a
2-1 victory at home against Sunderland. I didn't think they played all that well, but I was pleased with the way they responded to going a goal down early in the game. Litex Lovech are the visitors to Villa Park on Thursday evening, and I expect Villa to win quite comfortably.

It's Google's
10th Birthday today! It seems like only yesterday I discovered Google for searching the web. I was using
Yahoo!,
AltaVista,
Ask and few others before, but when Google came along, well, I've never used another search engine since. In addition to search, I use quite a few other Google products too.
I now use
Google Mail for e-mail and
Google Reader for RSS feeds. I organise myself using
Google Calendar and search my computer using
Google Desktop. I use the
Google Toolbar with Firefox and find directions using
Google Maps. Here's to another 10 years of totally awesome products. Happy Birthday, Google!

Remember the
Leicester game around this time last year? Well, the same thing happened again last night.
Villa were knocked out of the Carling Cup after losing
1-0 at home to Queens Park Rangers. I'm very disappointed. Even though Martin O'Neill made several changes, Villa still should have had enough to beat them.

Whilst I don't really hate West Brom or consider them rivals (unlike a certain other team who shall remain nameless), it always feels good to win a local derby.
Villa beat Albion
2-1 at The Hawthorns earlier this afternoon to notch up their third away win of the week. Villa play QPR next in the Carling Cup on Wednesday evening.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Bond film
Quantum of Solace. It looks as good as
Casino Royale - if not better. Check out
these trailers if you haven't already. I'm not keen on the
theme song by Jack White and Alicia Keys though. That said, I didn't like the Casino Royale theme at first, so it might grow on me.

Villa have had two great results this week. First, they beat Tottenham
2-1 to earn their first win in London for four years, and earlier this afternoon, they beat Litex Lovech
3-1 in the first leg of their first round UEFA Cup tie. Villa have a short trip up the road to The Hawthorns next on Sunday afternoon to play West Brom.

It has been around since 2003 apparently, but I've only just come across
EVE Online - a massive multiplayer online game set in a science-fiction based, persistent world - and it has me rather intrigued. It reminds me of
Frontier: Elite II in a way. There's a free 14-day trial on offer, which I might sign up for later this week.

Since I'm an 80's kid I'm naturally delighted about
all this talk of a third Ghostbusters movie being in development, but I'm also quite apprehensive too. The original actors are too old to reprise their roles surely? It has been almost twenty years since the last movie. I just don't know how they're going to pull it off successfully.

I think Google's
Chrome is pretty awesome. I have been using it for the past two days, and whilst it hasn't
quite got enough about it just yet to pull me away from Mozilla's
Firefox (it is only a beta after all), I think if they iron out the bugs and add some more features, it might just do. I look forward to further beta releases!

I'm eagerly awaiting the beta release of Google's new internet browser called Chrome, which should be available for download later this evening. It certainly
sounds pretty promising, but will it have enough about it to tear me away from Mozilla's
Firefox browser? Tune in for my thoughts on Google's Chrome tomorrow!

Villa drew
1-1 with Liverpool at Villa Park yesterday afternoon. I think it was a fair result in the end. Neither side wanted to lose the game and they pretty much cancelled each other out. There are only a few more hours left before the transfer window closes. Will Martin O'Neill bring in any more new faces? I really hope so!
