I've just finished watching Kung Fu Panda on DVD and enjoyed it immensely. It's very funny and superbly animated. Definitely one of the best animated films of the year, but not the best - I still think Wall-E is the best so far this year. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa also looks quite good - might watch it at the cinema when it's out.

Back in May I mentioned that I was planning on building a new PC. Well, I'll hopefully be able to start building it tomorrow! Most of the components were delivered this morning. I'm just waiting on a couple of things from Quiet PC, which should hopefully arrive tomorrow. I hope this build goes more smoothly than the last one!

I've recently watched Quantum of Solace and Max Payne at the cinema. I really enjoyed Bond's latest outing, and I was pleased to see the gun barrel sequence return at the end. As for Max Payne, it was, well, painful to say the least. Not recommended. I've never played the Max Payne games so I can't compare them to the film.

Villa put in another excellent performance yesterday afternoon and fully deserved a point in their 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United. Villa are now sitting in fourth place in the Premier League, but I won't get too excited as the last time I did, Villa fell away and finished 6th! Fulham are up next on Saturday.

Wow! I am so pleased. Villa beat Arsenal 2-0 yesterday afternoon when I would have been more than happy with a draw! What pleases me the most though, is that after a few lacklustre displays against Newcastle and Middlesbrough, the performance was absolutely outstanding, and they fully deserved to win the game.

Villa lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough last Sunday afternoon. Two really poor goals cost Villa the game, but I didn't think they played particularly well anyway. Villa travel to Arsenal this weekend, and play Manchester United at Villa Park the following weekend. Two really, really tough games - I'd be happy with a point from both.

After losing 2-0 to Newcastle on Monday night, I was pleased to see Villa beat Slavia Prague 1-0 in their second game of the UEFA Cup group stages to go top of Group F. Villa now only need a point to qualify from the group. Villa have several tough Premier League games coming up now - starting with Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Congratulations to Barack Obama on becoming the first black president of the United States. I can't remember an election - let alone an American one - intriguing me as much as this one has. I've been keeping an eye on it since January this year, and I was up until the early hours of this morning watching the results roll in!
