Well, as I suspected, The Unborn wasn't very good. There were a few decent jumps, but other than that, I thought it was pretty mediocre. I'm hoping The Uninvited, which is a remake of a highly rated 2003 Korean horror film called A Tale of Two Sisters and due out around the middle of April or thereabouts, will be much better.

About a week ago I mentioned I was having problems with my secondary hard disk, and I promised I'd post if I found the cause of the problem. Well, after I replaced the SATA cable and reformatted the hard disk a couple of days ago, the problem is no longer occurring - so it would appear a dodgy cable was the cause!

The Caps' star left-winger, Alex Ovechkin, scored yet another unbelievable goal last week - this time against the Montreal Canadiens. Chipping the puck to himself off the boards around a defenseman and then scoring on his backside? Amazing. I still think this goal against the Phoenix Coyotes is his best so far though.

I watched Push at the cinema on Friday evening. It was pretty silly, and the plot was extremely convoluted, but nonetheless I quite enjoyed it! The Unborn is next on my list of films to see, although judging by the reviews on IMDb, I should probably give it a miss. Still, I haven't seen a scary movie at the cinema for ages...

I finished reading Hold Tight by Harlan Coben yesterday, and from the first page to the last it doesn't disappoint. I thought I had it all figured out, but right at the very end, Coben - as he so often does - pulled the rug right out from underneath my feet! It's another great page-turner of a book from Coben. Recommended.

It has been a tough old week for Villa. They were knocked out of the FA Cup by Everton, drew 1-1 CSKA Moscow on Wednesday evening in the UEFA Cup, and earlier today, were beaten 1-0 at Villa Park by Chelsea. They're still fourth in the league, but they absolutely must pick up three points against Stoke next Sunday.

Villa were knocked out of the FA Cup on Sunday after losing 3-1 to Everton. They had their chances, but ultimately it wasn't to be. Never mind. Hopefully, they'll bounce back with good results against CSKA Moscow, who visit Villa Park tomorrow, and Chelsea on Saturday. They're tough games, but I think both are winnable.

A couple of weeks ago I suddenly started getting "Delayed Write Failed" messages appearing once I'd booted in to Windows. The messages seemed to occur when accessing or writing data to my secondary hard disk. I know the disk itself is fine, but I still haven't found the cause of the problem. I'll be sure to post if I find out!

Villa beat Doncaster Rovers 3-1 in their FA Cup fourth round replay at Villa Park last week. They face Everton away tomorrow afternoon in the fifth round of the competition. It'll be a tough game, but given Villa's unbelievable away form this season, I'm fairly confident they can win and progress to the next round.

After beating Portsmouth 1-0 away from home last week, drawing 0-0 with Wigan Athletic at home last Saturday, and beating Blackburn 2-0 away from home yesterday, Villa are now third in the league! Yesterday's win set a club record of seven away wins in a row, and was Villa's 13th successive match without defeat!

Why is it that whenever it snows in the UK it causes absolute pandemonium? Seriously, I cannot believe the disruption it has caused today. It took me an hour and a half to get home! I'd have thought lessons would have been learned from the last time this happened. If it's as bad tomorrow then I'll be working from home.
