I found out today that my job is being moved to India around April next year. Wonderful. I'm either going to have to find another role within the company I currently work for or find another job elsewhere. I suspect it will be the latter as I'm not sure I want to continue working for a company that does that to its employees.

I've recently seen The Fourth Kind and 2012 at the cinema, and to be honest, neither film was as good as I was expecting it to be. The Fourth Kind was quite intriguing, but nothing more than that. 2012 was very nice visually, but a little too unbelievable at times. Oh, and with a 158 minute runtime, it was also far, far too long!

I lost another one of my cats a couple of days ago. My beautiful Temira, friend and companion for fourteen wonderful years - half my life - was put to sleep on Tuesday. I know it was the right decision, but that doesn't make it any easier at the moment. I can't believe she's gone. I miss her so much already. RIP Temira.

Villa got back to winning ways with a ruthless 5-1 demolition of a poor Bolton Wanderers side at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon. I don't think Villa will have such an easy time against newly promoted Burnley in two weeks time, but I don't see any reason why they can't travel up to Turf Moor and snatch all three points.

In their last three league games Villa have only picked up two points out of a possible nine. They drew 1-1 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, 1-1 with Everton and lost 2-1 to West Ham. I'm disappointed they didn't pick up more, but hopefully they can get back to winning ways against Bolton at Villa Park on Saturday.

In between those games, though, Villa did manage to book their place in quarter-finals of the Carling Cup by beating Sunderland 3-1 on penalties. Brad Guzan had a superb game. He saved four penalties - one in normal time and three in the shootout! Villa will play Portsmouth at Fratton Park for a place in the semi-finals.
