Despite drawing 0-0, I thought Villa played very well against Arsenal on Wednesday evening. I'm not sure what game Arsene Wenger was watching though. Villa play lots of long balls? Er, I don't think so, Arsene! Villa have just beaten Fulham 2-0 as I write this. That's a superb result. Villa play Tottenham next weekend.

Villa haven't signed anybody in the January transfer window yet, and they don't look like doing so either, but they have sold Craig Gardner to They Who Must Not Be Named. Real good career move that. Anyway, on to more important things: Villa play Arsenal tomorrow evening. It'll be a tough game, but I fancy Villa to win.

I watched Daybreakers at the cinema on Saturday evening, which I was quite looking forward to seeing considering the reviews I'd read, but I didn't enjoy it at all. It's needlessly gory and the ending is a bit daft too. The only good thing I can say about it is that, with a runtime of 98 minutes, it's over quite quickly!

I was at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon to watch Villa beat Brighton 3-2 in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Villa made six changes, but they were still far too strong for Brighton. Villa will play either Wolverhampton Wanderers or Crystal Palace away in the fifth round - can they reach a second cup final this season?

Woohoo! Villa are through to the final of the Carling Cup after beating Blackburn 6-4 (7-4 on aggregate) in one of the craziest games I've ever witnessed at Villa Park. Blackburn snatched two early goals before Villa settled their nerves and got going. The tickets for the final go on sale next Wednesday - I will be there!

I've recently seen The Book of Eli and Sherlock Holmes at the cinema and enjoyed both movies immensely. I thought the twist at the end of The Book of Eli was very well done, and Sherlock Holmes kept me entertained and intrigued throughout, so I'm glad they've set it up for a sequel at some point in the near future.

After a fantastic 1-0 win up at Ewood Park in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final last Thursday (the second leg is this Wednesday), I was quite confident that Villa would beat West Ham yesterday afternoon. Disappointingly, the game ended in a 0-0 draw, although Villa had plenty of chances to win the game.

Villa haven't played a game since I last updated. They were supposed to play Blackburn in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday, and a league game away at Wigan on Saturday, but both games were postponed due to the wintry weather. It's nice to look at and all that, but this snow is becoming a real pain!

Villa got back to winning ways against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup yesterday with a comfortable 3-1 victory. They will play Brighton at home in the next round. Villa's next game is against Blackburn (again) in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening. A result similar to Saturday's would be excellent!
