Well, after a
1-1 draw against Sunderland at home last Wednesday, and an absolutely humiliating
7-1 spanking against Chelsea on Saturday, I think it's safe to say that
Villa have no chance of finishing in the Champions League places now. Yet again another promising season is fading into nothing. It's so frustrating!

I was disappointed with the
2-2 draw against Wolves at Villa Park on Saturday.
Villa started well enough, but allowed Wolves back into the game with some really sloppy defending. Villa play Sunderland tomorrow evening at Villa Park - it's a must win game if they want to stay in the hunt for a Champions League place.

Villa are still firmly in the hunt for a Champions League place after two excellent results away from home recently. They drew
0-0 with Stoke City last Saturday, which is an improvement on last season's 3-2 defeat, and they beat Wigan Athletic
2-1 on Tuesday evening. Villa play Wolves next on Saturday afternoon.

I've recently watched
Youth In Revolt and
Green Zone at the cinema. I thought Youth In Revolt was absolutely hilarious - easily the funniest movie I've seen so far this year - and I thought Green Zone was pretty good, too. People have moaned about the shaky camera work in some scenes, but I thought it was quite effective.

Villa are heading back to Wembley to take on Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final after they beat Reading
4-2 earlier this afternoon. I feared the worst after Reading took a 2-0 lead, but Villa showed a lot of character and fought back well. Today's win also means that Martin O'Neill has
finally won a game in March as Villa manager!
